Where do you see yourself a year from now?
Specifically, how much closer will you be to achieving your weight loss goals?
Well, one thing is for certain:
The only way to get where you want to be is to start off with a solid plan…
That tells you exactly what you need to do every step of the way.
And with the big championship celebration coming up, one of the most common questions we’re being asked is:
What should I be doing to keep from gaining weight this weekend?
Any party or get together often brings with it unhealthy temptations and junk food snacks you know you should avoid.
Well, we wanted to help you lay out a plan to keep you active, and eating healthy so you can continue looking and feeling wonderful — and stay on the path to achieving your weight-loss goals.
So, today we’re going to give you a few important tips you can use this weekend to keep the big game feast from disrupting your weight loss journey.
Tip #1 — Add in a bit of exercise during commercial breaks. This is especially easy if you’ve got a bike or a treadmill near the tv.
If not, you can still get in some pushups, crunches or standing squats right there in front of your couch.
Or consider just walking around your house a bit during the break.
Tip #2 — When you’re putting together your big game spread, try loading it with options that don’t include carbs or not fried dishes.
Here’s a bonus tip: say you decide to prepare some incredible roasted wings. When you’re eating them, try eliminating some of the skin and go light when you’re dipping them in your favorite sauce.
Tip #3 — Another great way to keep your health on track during big game style get together — avoid alcohol.
We understand how enjoyable a good “adult” beverage can be, but they’re often packed with hidden sugar and calories that can throw a wrench into your weight loss efforts.
Tip #4 — Instead of alcohol, try drinking some water. And if plain water isn’t exciting enough, you can still add a zero-calorie sweetener like Mio, or prepare some unsweetened tea or a glass of ice water with some fresh fruit.
Tip #5 — And the best tip of them all — exercise some discipline. Let’s face it, if you really want to stay slim and trim, it’s going to take discipline and persistence.
So, while it’s perfectly fine to enjoy yourself as you watch and celebrate with your friends and family, be mindful that you don’t indulge TOO much.
